It’s been a while, but I’ve finally had some time to continue with my ghibli series! Porco Rosso is one of my favorites even though it often takes a back seat to Miyazaki’s other films. This moment from the story always makes my heart swell. ❤️ If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it- it’s full of nostalgia, adventure, and charm!

  9. Next one in the Ghibli series! We watched Totoro again and it was just pure magic. I know the bus stop scene with Totoro is super iconic, but for some reason it’s this small quiet moment just before it that’s stuck with me. 🌧 Next one in the Ghibli series! 10. I remember being completely captivated and swept away when I first watched Princess Mononoke as a teen- and I feel the same way every time I rewatch it! What an incredible story…

  11. This scene from Kiki’s Delivery Service has always stuck with me- the mystery and awe of discovering this lone cabin in the woods, meeting a new ally who helps Kiki to grow and change- it really highlights how sometimes random accidents or failures can lead to wonderful things. Really having fun making these 😊

  12. Next Ghibli fanart! I get the feeling Whisper of the Heart is a bit more obscure than some of their other films, but it’s by far one of my favorites. The pacing and slice of life atmosphere paired with a sense of wonder and mystery sent me searching for those things in my own life and my own stories to tell. Plus it introduced my partner and I to Country Roads of all things and now it’s one of ‘our songs’ 😆

  13. My partner and I decided to rewatch a bunch of Ghibli films this year and I was inspired to finally make some fanart! Miyazaki And Ghibli have had a profound impact on our work and our lives. I’ve found myself reconnecting with a scene or moment that has really stuck with me through the years. This one from Howl’s Moving Castle showed me how powerful small moments and quiet storytelling can be.

  14. This is the cover illustration and interior I made for a reprint of Joseph Bruchac’s novels under the title The Legend of Skeleton Man. In the past I’ve avoided creating my own type for my covers- it’s definitely a weakness of mine- but last year I decided to take a stab at it and try to improve! The publisher ended up using a variation of this type design, so I’ll definitely be continuing to develop this important skill. 💪 Many thanks to Michelle Taormina, my wonderful AD over at Harper Collins!

  15. Here’s the Link to the Past piece I made for Hero of Ages: A Legend of Zelda Anthology. Unfortunately the project has been canceled due to legal complications with Nintendo, but if you’d like to check out the other work head over to @lozanthology to see all the other awesome artists who participated!
